CONNECTING TO A MORE GROUNDED AND EXPANSIVE EXPERIENCE OF LIFE
“You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you. Mother Earth is not just your environment. In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth, which is the highest form of prayer.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh
"Compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its full breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to mankind."
- Albert Schweitzer
Integration in relation to psychedelics can be understood as the process one continuously undertakes to bolster the insights they gained from the experience and live from that place of new knowledge or understanding. Integration is the process of incorporating previously disconnected pieces into one larger piece.
I assist individuals who have had a psychedelic experience and whom are looking
to ground and integrate that experience into their day to day life.
Psychedelic integration can be understood as the process one continuously undertakes to bolster the insights they gained from an experience and live from that place of new knowledge, insight, and understanding. Through this process, individuals are supported and guided to uncover new perspectives and meaning post-transformative experience. This support and service is also open to those who are preparing for a psychedelic experience. My orientation and approach is based in depth and transpersonal psychology, bringing in mindfulness and mind-body practices when appropriate. I received my M.A. in Psychology with a Mind-Body Concentration from Columbia University's Spirituality Mind Body Institute, am a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and meditation teacher, and am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. In working together, integration becomes a practice in compassion, growth, and strength. I believe that integrating our psychedelic experiences is in service to both the individual and the collective, and that through the process we can find great curiosity, joy, purpose, and meaning.

IMPORTANT: Sophie Whitney is unlicensed and does not provide illicit substances or psychedelic assisted therapy.
“Some people have a unique ability to help others see deep truths hidden in plain sight. Sophie is one of those people. Not only does she guide her clients with wisdom, but she does so with uncommon grace and kindness. Without a doubt, her life and work will continue to impact the world in unique and wonderful ways.” - Kevin Kaiser
"I came to meet Sophie after a slow ten year long insidious slide into what was diagnosed as Treatment Resistant Depression. I felt as if I was trapped in a prison cell of my own mind, that all the doctors, counselors and modern pharmaceuticals couldn’t rescue me from. I could only see the negative and ugliness in everything. I slept a lot and often thought if I was killed in a car accident on the way home it wouldn’t be so bad. My family would’ve been taken care of; I had life insurance after all. Desperation and a chance interaction on a train to Santa Barbara led me to contacting her and that chance has and still is having a profound impact on my life. I think I had forgotten how, but I laugh more now. I see my demons for what they are; not me. I see the beauty in things that I have missed for so long. I can see now that I am part something bigger and not the trivial thoughts that churned over and over in my head. Sophie helped reset my compass. For that I am eternally grateful." - Andrew Morris
